No. 48 IUP women’s tennis downed by Hillsborough CC in Florida

Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 48 IUP women's tennis team finished out its spring break trip on Saturday afternoon, falling 6-1 to defending the NJCAA national champions in Hillsborough CC.
 
IUP slips to 4-7 on the season and Hillsborough CC improves to 4-1 in dual matches. Saturday's match was played at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.
 
IUP won one doubles match with Veronica Sirci and Hannah Beitat posting a 7-5 victory. Hillsborough claimed the doubles point, however, with a 7-6 win at No. 1 and a 6-2 triumph at the No. 3 flight.
 
Ming Deewajee battled for a three-set win at No. 1 singles, knocking off Catherine Goldman by scores of 4-6, 6-3, 1-0.
 
Alexis Cramer dropped the first set at No. 6 singles, falling 7-6 before Adeola Gretorex finished out the match with a 6-2 victory in the second set.
