<strong>INDIANA, Pa. –</strong> The IUP women's basketball team pulled away over the final three quarters in an 82-56 victory against Clarion on Saturday afternoon at the KCAC.<br />

IUP (21-6, 17-5) closed the regular season with wins in six of its last seven games, using the entire compliment of players available in Saturday's win. Celebrating Senior Day, IUP recognized

During the game, IUP settled in from a slow start and shot 50% from beyond the arc in the victory. Henderson logged a game-high 20 points with six rebounds, while Nyshae; Weaver racked up 14 points (10-13 FT) and 17 rebounds. Weaver's 17 rebounds are just one shy of her career high of 18 boards, set February 17 against Edinboro.<br />

Kiera Baughman finished with 17 points and five assists, while
Maria Cerro added 12 points in 27 minutes. Team manager
Maureen Healy subbed into the game for the final minute in a celebratory day for the Crimson Hawks heading into the conference tournament.<br />
<br />
Clarion (1-27) was led by Autumn Taylor's 14 points. The Golden Eagles trailed by one, 14-13, at the end of the first quarter before the Crimson Hawks seized control.<br />
<br />
IUP used a big run in the second quarter and stretched its lead to double figures. Weaver secured a double-double at the half, picking up 12 rebounds in the opening 20 minutes. The Hawks outscored Clarion 25-11 in the second stanza and carried the momentum into the second half.<br />

A 13-0 blitz turned a tie game into a 27-14 lead for the Crimson Hawks with about seven minutes remaining in the opening half. Henderson and Cerro each converted from beyond the arc in the spurt, later expanding the margin to 15 late in the half.<br />
<br />
Near the end of the third quarter, IUP widened its cushion to 30 (62-32) with a jumper from Cerro. The Hawks continued to work in different lineup combinations into the fourth, maintaining control the rest of the way.<br />
