INDIANA, Pa. – Seton Hill handed the IUP women's volleyball team a 3-1 loss Friday evening at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex, taking the match 25-22, 25-21, 15-25, 25-23.
With the win, Seton Hill improved to 9-6 overall and 3-2 in PSAC play, while IUP dropped to 11-5 overall and 3-3 in the conference.
The Crimson Hawks fell behind early, dropping the first two sets before storming back to dominate the third, 25-15. IUP carried that momentum into the fourth and held a 22-20 lead late, but Seton Hill rallied behind a pair of kills and a service ace to close out the match.
IUP finished with 57 kills and a .248 attack percentage compared to Seton Hill's 36 kills on a .129 hitting percentage. Ellie Rauch paced the Hawks with 48 assists, while Jessica Neiman led the attack with 15 kills.
Catie Flohr led Seton Hill with 13 kills and three aces, and Haley Reed added 17 assists in the win.
IUP will look to bounce back in its next PSAC matchup as conference play continues.
