Crimson Hawks ranked fourth in latest Super Region One rankings

INDIANAPOLIS – The IUP football team is ranked No. 4 in the latest NCAA Division II Super Region One rankings, released Monday by the NCAA. The Crimson Hawks are the second-highest Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) team and the top-ranked program from the PSAC West.

Kutztown, IUP's next opponent, holds the No. 1 spot with a perfect 10-0 record. The top three teams remained unchanged this week, but an Assumption loss allowed IUP to move into hosting position for a potential regional game. Assumption dropped to No. 7.

If the postseason began today, IUP would host California (Pa.) in a rematch at Miller Stadium.

IUP and Kutztown will meet this week in the PSAC championship game, while No. 2 Virginia Union faces No. 3 Johnson C. Smith in Durham, North Carolina.
