IUP rolls past D’Youville 94–66 behind balanced scoring, dominant defense

INDIANA, Pa. — Indiana (Pa.) used a fast start and a deep, balanced rotation to cruise past D'Youville 94–66 on Sunday night at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex.

The Crimson Hawks (3–1) opened with 44 first-half points and kept pressure on the Saints throughout, forcing 19 turnovers and converting them into 24 points. IUP also controlled the glass with a 44–39 rebounding edge and poured in 39 bench points.

Dallis Dillard led IUP's balanced attack with 14 points, six assists and five steals. Damir Brooks added 15 points and six rebounds in just 16 minutes, while Tyler Grove came off the bench to score 18 points, hitting four 3-pointers. Kymani Merraro and Luke Triggs also reached double figures as IUP shot 49% from the field and connected on 11 3-pointers.

IUP surged ahead midway through the opening half, using second-chance points and defensive pressure to build separation. The Hawks forced nine turnovers before halftime, turning several into transition baskets as they took a 44–33 lead into the break. They pushed the margin quickly to open the second half, extending the lead past 20 as the Saints struggled to keep pace.

D'Youville (0–4) was led by Trayton Trice with 19 points and six rebounds. Sean Reynolds added 13 points, and Justin Moore scored 14 while pulling down six boards, but the Saints were hurt by giveaways and a 5-for-18 night from beyond the arc.

IUP outscored D'Youville 42–32 in the paint and added 23 second-chance points behind 16 offensive rebounds.
