Rueve named Harlon Hill Award Nominee

INDIANA, Pa. — IUP graduate student quarterback Matthew Rueve has been named a nominee for the 2025 Harlon Hill Award, given annually to the nation's top Division II football player. Rueve is one of 36 nominees, including eight from Super Region I.

Rueve broke IUP's single-season passing yards record this fall, throwing for 3,338 yards over 11 games. He finished with 31 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions, and his 167.6 passer efficiency rating led the PSAC.

The Crimson Hawks quarterback tied the program's single-game touchdown pass record once, broke it later in the season, and then tied his own mark again. He was named second-team All-PSAC.

The Harlon Hill Award winner will be announced Friday, Dec. 19.
