PREVIEW: Women's Basketball looks to continue winning ways on weekend road trip

THE GAMES AT A GLANCE
The No. 10-ranked IUP women's basketball team heads into its third and fourth PSAC games with an undefeated 7-0 record, dominating opponents in its games. There has not been a team that has come within single digits of the Crimson Hawks, with only two teams coming within 20 points of IUP.
IUP leads the PSAC in scoring margin, averaging 34.6 points per game over opponents. The next-closest team is also a top 10 team in the Golden Knights of Gannon, who outscore opponents by an average of 18.5 points per game.  Bloomsburg has a 4.5 average scoring margin, while East Stroudsburg has a positive 7.5 scoring margin.

TIPOFF NOTES
>> Diligent work was done by Coach Carey and the coaching staff to retool the Crimson Hawk lineup with a total of seven new additions from the transfer portal. Ali Hardwell (South Carolina State), Bella Bosch (Pitt-Johnstown), Bella Peterson (Northeastern Junior College), Teresa Maggio (Mount Vernon Nazarene), Kamiya Dambreville (Monroe College), Alexis Buie (Shippensburg), and Naomi Zulueta (Delaware State) will all be appearing alongside the four returning players from the previous season for the Crimson Hawks.
>> Nyshae' Weaver currently leads the team in scoring, averaging 1.8 PPG, while also bringing down 8.6 rebounds per game. Weaver was one of two players in the PSAC to average a double-double last season.

>> Teresa Maggio is a sharpshooter from behind the arc, hitting 20 three-pointers through seven games. She is shooting over 49 percent from three-point land and averaging 2.8 three-pointers per game, with a season high of 5 makes in the Hawks' PSAC opener against Kutztown. Maggio also had a career-high seven steals in that game.
>>IUP has opened PSAC play 2-0, highlighted by a 110-48 win over Mansfield in its most recent game. The 110 points were the third-most in program history and the highest total since the team scored 115 points in 2017.
