EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — Indiana (Pa.) used a strong first half and a balanced offensive effort to defeat East Stroudsburg 96-82 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action.
The Crimson Hawks improved to 8-1 overall and 4-0 in PSAC play, while the Warriors dropped to 7-3 and 1-3 in the league.
Dallis Dillard led IUP with 25 points and 10 rebounds, recording a double-double. Christian Moore added 22 points, connecting on four 3-pointers, and Kymani Merraro finished with 13 points and eight assists. Tyler Grove chipped in 14 points off the bench as four Hawks scored in double figures.
IUP built a 52-41 halftime lead behind efficient shooting and consistent ball movement, then maintained control throughout the second half. The Crimson Hawks shot 53 percent from the field and knocked down 11 3-pointers in the win.
East Stroudsburg was led by Nasir Griffin with 16 points, while Ethan Maynard scored 14 and Jalen Pichardo added 10. The Warriors shot 46.9 percent from the floor but struggled to keep pace with IUP's scoring depth.
The Crimson Hawks controlled the tempo and used their efficiency on the offensive end to seal the road conference victory.
