PREVIEW: IUP women's basketball set to open PSAC Play

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – No. 13-ranked IUP will travel east to face Kutztown in its first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference matchup of the season. The Crimson Hawks have won eight straight against the Golden Bears.

KUTZTOWN AT A GLANCE

Kutztown enters the game with a 3-2 record, including two home wins. The Golden Bears defeated Wilmington 80-57 in their most recent contest.

Danae Ellzy is the team's only player averaging double-digit points, scoring 11.8 per game while playing just over 20 minutes, fourth-most on the team. Four players average at least 20 minutes per game, and 14 see at least 10 minutes per contest.

PREVIOUS MATCHUPS

IUP has won 23 of 27 all-time games against Kutztown, including the last eight. The Crimson Hawks' last loss to the Golden Bears came in 2013. IUP holds a 7-1 PSAC record and a 12-4 road record against Kutztown.

Since 1987, IUP has averaged 70.07 points per game against the Golden Bears. This will be the Hawks' first trip to Kutztown since 2021.
