ERIE, Pa. – Indiana University of Pennsylvania battled through long rallies and hung tough in a tight third set, but the Crimson Hawks fell 3–0 to Gannon on Saturday afternoon at the Highmark Events Center.
Set scores were 25-15, 25-15, 25-20.
IUP (22-9) found its offensive rhythm late, posting 17 kills in the third set—its most productive frame of the match—and tied Gannon 10 times before the Golden Knights pulled away late.
Delaney Concannon led the Crimson Hawks with 11 kills and 10 digs, her latest double-double in postseason play. Jessica Neiman added 10 kills on .320 hitting, while Kyra Schmidt contributed eight kills. Setter Ellie Rauch guided the attack with 29 assists, and libero Brooke Kessler had a team-high 12 digs.
IUP kept momentum within reach early in each set, but Gannon's block and serving runs created separation. The Crimson Hawks' strongest stretch came midway through the third, when kills from Concannon, Schmidt and Neiman helped IUP climb back from multiple deficits to tie the frame at 14, 15 and 17.
IUP finished the afternoon with 37 kills while hitting .184 and totaled 44 digs on the defensive end.
