Box Score GREENSBURG, Pa. -- IUP women's tennis defeated Walsh 4-3 Sunday afternoon, with
Asel Calbay earning her first collegiate win and securing the clinch.
IUP claimed the doubles points with wins from
Dani Ramos and
Ming Deewajee in No.1 doubles with a score of 6-3, and
Veronica Sirci and
Hannah Beitat in No.3 doubles (6-1).
Deewajee was the first to finish at No.2 singles with scores of 6-1, 6-2. Beitat secured a hard fought win through three sets in the No.5 singles slot, with scores of 6-1, 4-6, and 6-1.
Freshman Calbay picked up her first collegiate win and finished last to secure the clinch with scores of 6-2, 4-6, and 6-3.
