Women's Tennis Samantha Traini, Inteirm Director of Strategic Communications and Ideation

IUP tennis defeated Northwestern Ohio 5-2

Box Score LIMA, Ohio – The IUP tennis team defeated Northwestern Ohio with a score of 5-2 after they won five singles matches on Saturday.
 
Ming Deewajee and Daniela Ramos claimed a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles, but IUP lost the doubles point after defeats at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
 
Lieselotte Hartlohner won No.1 singles with a first set score of 7-5 and a second set score sweep of 6-0. Deewajee followed in No.2 singles with scores of 6-4,6-0. 

Ramos battled back after dropping the first set in No. 3 singles, winning the second set 6-2 and securing the match with a 10-8 tiebreaker.

Hannah Beitat dominated No. 4 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win, while Asel Calbay rounded out the victories at No. 5 singles with a 6-4, 6-4 result.
