EDINBORO, Pa. -- The IUP women's tennis team improved to 3-0 in conference play after a dominant 7-0 sweep over Edinboro Wednesday afternoon.
IUP won all nine individual matches and began the day with wins in doubles play. Both No. 1 and No. 3 doubles won with scores of 6-0, while No. 2 doubles won 6-1.
In No. 1 singles was Lieselotte Hartlohner who won with scores of 7-6 and 6-4. Ming Deewajee was at the No. 2 slot and won both sets by a score of 6-2. No. 3 was Dani Ramos who clinched the match and sweep for the Hawks with a 6-0, 6-2 win.
No. 4 singles was Hannah Beitat who posted scores of 6-0 and 6-1, while Annemiek Sterk took No. 5 with set scores of 6-0 and 6-2. Isabelle Oikawa Torres rounded out the sweep at No. 6, finishing with scores of 6-2, 6-1.
