Box Score INDIANA, Pa. -- The No. 31 IUP women's tennis team concluded the regular season with a 6-1 win over Salem and extended their win streak to nine matches. IUP is now 14-6 overall.
IUP began the day winning the doubles point with wins in all three doubles spots. No.1 doubles finished first with a set score of 6-0 while No. 3 doubles finished second with a score of 6-2. At No. 2 doubles were Lieselotte Hartlohner and Annemiek Sterk, who earned a hard-fought 7-6 win.
IUP won all but one singles match, picking up five of six points. Hartlohner was at No. 1 singles and won with set scores of 6-2, 6-1. Deewajee in No. 2 singles won with set scores of 6-1, 6-2, while Ramos edged out a tight match at No. 3, 7-6, 7-5.
Hannah Beitat at No. 4 singles won 6-1, 6-0. At No. 5, Sterk battled back after dropping the first set to force a tiebreaker but ultimately fell 3-6, 6-1, 6-10. Isabelle Oikawa Torres capped off singles action with a strong 6-2, 6-2 performance at No. 6.
