GREENSBURG, Pa. – IUP extended its win streak to three games with a 40-13 road victory over Seton Hill in its first PSAC road test of the season.
Quarterback Matthew Rueve threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers. Devin Whitlock caught a career-high 11 passes for 130 yards, while Maurice Massey hauled in five receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Fullback Parker Gregg scored for the second straight week, this time on a rushing touchdown. Seven different IUP receivers finished with at least 20 receiving yards.
The Crimson Hawks' defense shut out Seton Hill in the first half and allowed just 62 rushing yards and 130 passing yards overall. Griffins quarterback Hayden Teska completed 15 passes.
Though IUP did not record a sack, the defense tallied five tackles for loss. Nathan Rosario Santos and Noah Johnston led the way with six tackles apiece, while 13 different Crimson Hawks registered multiple tackles.
Senior kicker Nick Andrasi went 1-for-1 on field goals, including a 47-yarder, converted four of five extra points and sent three of eight kickoffs for touchbacks.
IUP returns to George P. Miller Stadium next week for its Homecoming game against Edinboro. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. on Cignetti Field.
