Crimson Hawks top Pitt-Johnstown 80-70 in PSAC West play

INDIANA, Pa. — Indiana University of Pennsylvania rode a big scoring night from Dallis Dillard to an 80-70 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West victory over Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday night at the Kovalchick Complex.

Dillard finished with a game-high 31 points on 13-of-20 shooting and added six rebounds to lead the Crimson Hawks (10-2, 6-1 PSAC). Christian Moore scored 18 points, Bautista Rodriguez added 11, and Luke Triggs chipped in seven as IUP earned its sixth conference win.

Pitt-Johnstown (9-6, 3-4 PSAC) was led by Jay Rose with 18 points, while Will Kromka and Baden Forup scored 16 apiece. The Mountain Cats shot 44.6 percent from the field and made seven 3-pointers but were unable to overcome IUP's balanced scoring and efficiency.

IUP led 45-38 at halftime and maintained control throughout the second half, answering each Pitt-Johnstown run to secure the home conference victory.

The Crimson Hawks shot 43.1 percent from the floor and improved their standing in the PSAC West, while the Mountain Cats dropped their fourth conference game of the season.
