The IUP Women's Basketball team defends the KCAC in a three game homestand beginning with Slippery Rock. Tipoff is set for 1:00 PM.

IUP scored three consecutive quarters of 22-points after a turbulent first quarter to continue their hot streak. Slippery Rock found themselves in the win column after dropping their prior three matchups.

>> Through this point in his tenure, head coach Craig Carey owns a .752 winning percentage, ranking second in program history behind Tom McConnell. McConnell posted a .798 winning percentage through eight seasons as head coach of the IUP women's basketball program.
>> IUP holds the most accurate offense in the entirety of Divison II. The Crimson Hawks wield an uber-efficient .518 field goal percentage.
>> The Crimson Hawks find themselves near the top of the PSAC in overall offense and defense. Ranked second in both categories. IUP averages 79.9 PPG while only allowing 56.2 PPG.

>> Marin Miller's generous playmaking has been a key fundamental of Coach Carey's offense. Miller has recorded six games of 5+ assists and leads the Crimson Hawks with a total of 64 assists.

SLIPPERY ROCK AT A GLANCE
IUP welcomes Slippery Rock to the KCAC, The Rock hold an overall record of 7-14 and a conference record of 5-10. Most recently defeating Clarion at home with a final score of 78-72.

Leading scorer for The Rock is freshman Iyanna Wade. Ontop of her team-leading 14.6 PPG, Wade has accumulated 25 steals and grabs an average of 4.0 REB/G.

SERIES HISTORY
IUP leads the all-time series 60-27. The Crimson Hawks have been in control recently on this series, winning the last five contests. IUP looks to sweep Slippery Rock for the third season in a row.

RED-HOT PRECISE OFFENSE
IUP ranks second in the PSAC in overall offense and ninth in Division II, averaging 79.9 points per game. Bearing the most efficient offense in Division II, IUP holds an potent .518 team field goal percentage. Nyshae' Weaver leads IUP and ranks second in the PSAC with a .605 FG%. Teresa Maggio is right behind Weaver in the PSAC, ranked third with a FG% of .547

DILIGENT DEFENSE
The Hawks also find themselves among the top two in the PSAC in scoring defense. Surrending only 56.2 points per game. Coach Carey's elite defensive doctrine ensures that no team can respond with ease.

CRASHING THE GLASS
The Crimson Hawks have been excellent rebounding and preventing opponents from rebounding. As a team, IUP grabs 39.3 REB/G, which puts them sixth in the PSAC. Defensively, IUP has completely denied opponents of any second-chance opportunities. IUP allows only 26.5 rebounds per game which ranks first in the PSAC. IUP's rebounding margin of +12.8 is fifth best in the entirety of Division II.

GENEROUS PLAYMAKING
Ontop of IUP's elite scoring and rebounding, Coach Carey ensures that the ball gets through the hands of every player on the court. The Crimson Hawks as a team average 16.52 assists per game, which ranks second in the PSAC. IUP's 347 total assists accounted for is fourth-most in the conference.

SURPLUS SCORING
One fact is certain for IUP, there is no lack of consistent scoring. Teresa Maggio, Ellie Wilkerson, and Nyshae' Weaver have all recorded 10 or more games of 10+ points. All three players have also recorded a combined six performances of 20 or more points. Wilkerson broke her previous scoring record with a 23-point performance against Millersville.
