IUP Women’s Basketball Appears in First NCAA Atlantic Regional Rankings

Indiana, Pa.— The first release of the NCAA Atlantic Regional rankings was announced, and the Indiana University of Pennsylvania women's basketball team is listed among the region's top programs.

The initial rankings are presented alphabetically rather than by seed. The Atlantic Region teams included in the first release are:

  • University of Charleston — 16-8

  • Concord University — 17-7

  • Edinboro University — 13-11 (13-8 in region)

  • Fairmont State University — 18-6

  • Fayetteville State University — 18-3

  • Gannon University — 22-3 (18-2)

  • Glenville State University — 19-4

  • Indiana (Pa.) — 20-1

  • Seton Hill University — 16-6

  • Winston-Salem State University — 21-1

The Crimson Hawks currently sit atop the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division standings entering Wednesday's matchup with Seton Hill.

If the season concluded at the time of the rankings release, IUP would earn a first-round bye in the conference tournament and host an Eastern Division opponent in the PSAC quarterfinals scheduled for Wednesday, March 4.
