Crimson Hawks Drop 5-2 Decision to Tiffin

GREENSBURG, Pa. — The Indiana University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team fell 5-2 to Tiffin University in nonconference action Saturday at the Greensburg Racquet Club.

IUP battled throughout the afternoon and secured the doubles point with strong performances at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. The tandem of Asel Calbay and Hannah Beitat earned a 6-3 victory at second doubles, while Isabelle Oikawa Torres and Charliz Tabili posted a 6-2 win at third doubles to give the Crimson Hawks early momentum.

In singles play, Tabili picked up a straight-set win to account for IUP's second team point. The Crimson Hawks competed in several tightly contested matches, forcing extended rallies and pushing multiple sets, but Tiffin ultimately claimed four of the six singles flights to secure the overall team victory.

Despite the setback, IUP showed depth in doubles and competitive resilience in singles as the Crimson Hawks continue to build consistency heading into the heart of their schedule.
