CALIFORNIA, Pa. -- The IUP Women's Basketball team closes out their last road game of the regular season against California (PA), tipoff is set for 5:30PM inside the Convocation Center.

Most recently, IUP blew out Clarion by a comfortable margin of 16-points with two Crimson Hawks, Bella Bosch and Nyshae' Weaver recording double-doubles. California (PA) has dropped their last four-of-five, most recently falling to Edinboro on the road.

TIPOFF NOTES
>> At this point in his tenure, head coach Craig Carey owns a .759 winning percentage, ranking second in program history behind Tom McConnell whom posted a .798 winning percentage through eight seasons.
>> IUP holds the most accurate offense in the entirety of Divison II. The Crimson Hawks wield an uber-efficient .509 field goal percentage.
>> IUP's 80.2 PPG on offense is ranked second in the PSAC and seventh nationally. Defensively, IUP's 56.5 PPG allowed on defense is among the top three in the conference.
>> The Crimson Hawk's scoring margin of +23.6 leads the PSAC and ranks fourth in Division II.
>> IUP's previous contest against California (PA) concluded with four Crimson Hawks recording 10+ points in a blowout 97-66 victory at the KCAC. Teresa Maggio led IUP with 19-points and recorded five steals.
>> Two Crimson Hawks have been extremely efficient. Weaver's .583 FG% is ranked second in the PSAC while Maggio's .524 FG% is ranked sixth in the conference.
>> Maggio's 3-PT shooting is nothing but impressive. Maggio's .400 3-PT FG% leads the PSAC with the total 50 3-PT FGs made during the season is fourth-most in the conference.
>> Facilitating Coach Carey's elite offense is senior Marin Miller who leads IUP with 70 assists.
>> Nine Crimson Hawks average a minimum of 10 minutes-per-game.

CALIFORNIA (PA) AT A GLANCE
Welcoming IUP to the Convocation Center, the Vulcans hold an overall record of 11-17 with a conference record of 7-11. Currently on a two game losing streak, the Vulcans most recently fell to Edinboro 64-71 on the road.

Leading scorer for California (PA) is junior guard Kennedy Bankett. Averaging 15.5 PPG, Bankett has been playing efficient for the Vulcans with a .545 FG%. Defensively, Bankett has logged 46 steals and eight blocks.

SERIES HISTORY
California (PA) leads the all-time series against IUP 56-39 dating back to 1984. The Crimson Hawks have crawled slowly out of this deficit, winning the last two contests against the Vulcans. Coach Carey acquired his first PSAC tournament win against the Vulcans in the 2024-25 season in a 58-57 thriller.

RED-HOT PRECISE OFFENSE
IUP ranks second in the PSAC in overall offense and seventh in Division II, averaging 80.2 points-pergame. Bearing the most efficient offense in Division II, IUP holds an extremely efficient .509 team field goal percentage. Nyshae' Weaver leads IUP and ranks second in the PSAC with a .583 FG%. Teresa Maggio is not so far behind Weaver in the PSAC, ranked sixth with a .524 FG%.

DILIGENT DEFENSE
The Hawks also find themselves among the top three in the PSAC in points allowed per game. Surrending only 56.5 points per game. Coach Carey's elite defensive doctrine ensures that no team can respond with ease.

CRASHING THE GLASS
The Crimson Hawks have been excellent rebounding and preventing opponents from rebounding. As a team, IUP grabs 40.8 REB/G, which puts them fourth in the PSAC. Defensively, IUP has completely denied opponents of any second-chance opportunities. IUP allows only 27.0 rebounds per game which ranks first in the PSAC. IUP's rebounding margin of +13.7 is fourth best in Division II.

GENEROUS PLAYMAKING
Ont op of IUP's elite scoring and rebounding, Coach Carey ensures that the ball gets through the hands of every player on the court. The Crimson Hawks as a team average 16.92 assists per game, which topples the rest of the PSAC. IUP's 396 total assists accounted also leads the rest of the PSAC. Four Crimson Hawks have accumulated 50+ assists, leading the group is Marin Miller who is responsible for 70 assists.
