WEST CHESTER, Pa. — The Indiana University of Pennsylvania men's basketball team held off a late push from West Chester University to secure a 71-70 victory Wednesday night in the PSAC Tournament quarterfinals at Hollinger Field House.
The Crimson Hawks battled through a tightly contested game that featured multiple lead changes. West Chester held a slim 34-33 advantage at halftime, but IUP responded in the second half to regain control and hold on down the stretch.
Christian Moore paced the Crimson Hawks with 17 points, connecting on three 3-pointers while also adding four assists. Dallis Dillard finished with 15 points and five assists, while Ian Herring recorded a double-double with 13 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
Luke Triggs also provided a strong contribution off the bench, scoring 13 points as the Crimson Hawks received balanced production throughout the lineup.
The game remained tight in the final minutes, but IUP made key defensive stops to preserve the one-point win.
IUP will have a rematch with the Gannon Golden Knights in Erie on Saturday, March 7 at 5 p.m.
