LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — The IUP women's tennis team is in the midst of its toughest stretch of the season, facing three consecutive nationally ranked opponents. The Crimson Hawks are 2-0 during that span, with Lea von Kozierowski playing a key role in both victories.

For her performance, von Kozierowski was named the PSAC West Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week.

Von Kozierowski has been dominant at No. 1 singles, including a victory over a top-70 opponent in IUP's win over No. 20 Charleston (W.Va.) on Sunday at the Maple Street Courts. She controlled the match throughout, winning 6-4, 6-2.

Ranked among the top players in Division II this season, von Kozierowski has competed exclusively at the No. 1 position for the Crimson Hawks, consistently facing each opponent's top player.
