INDIANA, Pa. — The IUP women's tennis team is ranked No. 1 in the Atlantic Region in the first set of numerical rankings released this season, with PSAC rival Slippery Rock at No. 2.
IUP recently completed a stretch against three consecutive nationally ranked opponents, including Slippery Rock and No. 3 Charleston (W.Va.), winning all three matches.
The Crimson Hawks have relied on a balanced lineup from No. 1 through No. 6 singles, including contributions from PSAC West women's tennis athlete of the week Charliz Tabili.
Tabili clinched the match in IUP's win over Slippery Rock.
IUP will look to extend its program-record winning streak to 14 matches when it travels to Clarion on Wednesday.
