IUP Women’s Lacrosse Season Ends in PSAC Quarterfinal Loss at No. 10 West Chester

WEST CHESTER, Pa. — Indiana University of Pennsylvania's women's lacrosse season ended Tuesday with a 20-6 loss to No. 10 West Chester in the PSAC Tournament quarterfinals at Vonnie Gros Field.

West Chester set the tone early, scoring the first seven goals of the game and building a 7-1 lead after the opening quarter. The Golden Rams extended their advantage in the second quarter, outpacing IUP to take a 12-4 lead into halftime.

IUP (9-9) was led offensively by Mia Martorano and Maggie Boyle, who each scored two goals. Macenzie Haragos and Julia Steere also found the net once apiece for the Crimson Hawks. Martorano helped get IUP on the board late in the first quarter after West Chester's opening run.

West Chester (15-3) was powered by Kendall Fortune and Lila McMahon-Skates, who each recorded six goals. The Golden Rams continued to apply pressure throughout the second half, adding goals in the third and fourth quarters to pull away for the win.

IUP showed brief fight in the third quarter with a pair of goals, but West Chester quickly answered each push and shut out the Crimson Hawks in the final period to secure the victory.

The loss concludes IUP's 2026 season, as the Crimson Hawks finish 9-9 overall after reaching the PSAC Tournament.
