No. 24 IUP women’s tennis heads to PSAC semifinals at Bloomsburg

INDIANA, Pa. — No. 24 IUP women's tennis will take its 15-match winning streak into the PSAC semifinals Friday when the Crimson Hawks travel to Bloomsburg to face the host Huskies at 1 p.m.

IUP, ranked No. 1 in the Atlantic Region for the second straight week by the ITA, enters the semifinal at 17-2 overall after defeating Millersville 4-0 Monday at the Maple Street Courts. The 15 consecutive wins mark a program record for the Crimson Hawks.

Bloomsburg, the No. 2 seed from the PSAC East and No. 9 team in the regional rankings, is 12-4 overall. The Huskies advanced with a 4-0 win over California (Pa.) on Monday.

The winner will move on to the PSAC championship match.

East Stroudsburg and Slippery Rock meet in the other semifinal matchup.
