IUP blanks Lock Haven 7-0, improves to 3-0 in PSAC

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — The IUP women's tennis team continued its dominant start to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play Tuesday afternoon, rolling to a 7-0 victory over Lock Haven to improve to 3-0 in league action.

The Crimson Hawks controlled the match from the outset, sweeping all three doubles contests to take an early lead before carrying that momentum into singles play. IUP dropped just a handful of games across the lineup, showcasing its depth and consistency against the Bald Eagles.

Lock Haven managed points in only two matches throughout the afternoon, as IUP's lineup dictated play from start to finish. The doubles portion was especially quick, with the longest match lasting just 14 minutes.

In singles play, the closest contest came at No. 1, where Lea Kozierowski secured a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the longest match of the day at 43 minutes. The rest of the lineup followed suit with decisive wins, as the Crimson Hawks closed out the sweep without facing significant resistance.

With the victory, IUP improved to 10-5 overall and moved into sole possession of first place in the PSAC West standings. The Crimson Hawks have now won three consecutive conference matches by identical 7-0 scores, underscoring their strong start to league play.
