INDIANA, Pa. — IUP women's tennis will host NCAA Atlantic Regional matches for the fifth consecutive year as the Crimson Hawks make their 19th NCAA Tournament appearance.
The No. 2 seed in the region, IUP will face CIAA champion Shaw at 10 a.m. Friday at the Maple Street Courts.
The Crimson Hawks enter the tournament having won 15 of their last 16 matches, with their only loss coming against Slippery Rock in the PSAC Championship match.
Shaw is 14-6 overall and enters as the No. 7 seed in the region. The Bears have won seven straight matches and eight of their last 10, capturing eight consecutive CIAA championships.
IUP will look to win its regional pod for the first time since 2024. The Crimson Hawks have captured six regional pod titles in program history, all since 2017.
Charleston and Frostburg State are also part of the regional pod. IUP defeated both teams during the regular season, earning a 7-0 win over Frostburg State and a 5-2 victory over Charleston.
