Biography
One of the integral parts in the team’s success last season, particularly in the conference tournament…slowed by injuries early last year but made steady progress in his first season in the program after transferring from Des Moines Community College…came back in very good shape and will be a go-to guy around the bucket.
2009-10
Played in 27 games and one start which came in the PSAC tournament when Akida McLain was out with a wrist injury…averaged 4.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game…shot 61.4 percent from the field (51 of 83) and 60.9 percent from the free throw line (28 of 46)…played a key role off the bench as the season progressed, culminating in a 22-point, 10-rebound performance in the PSAC championship game win over Kutztown…also reached double figures in the final two regular season games with 10 vs. Edinboro and 15 vs. Slippery Rock…missed seven games from the end of December through the middle of January after undergoing knee surgery.
Des Moines Community College
Named honorable mention all-conference as a freshman in 2007-08 when he averaged 10.2 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 58.9 percent from the floor in 29 games, including 18 starts…helped team post a record of 24-6 and finish the season ranked No. 7 in the nation…was on the preseason all-conference team as a sophomore but had his season cut short by a broken foot halfway through the year…was averaging 12 points and six rebounds per game at the time of his injury.
