2015:
Played in all 12 games in his first year at IUP, primarily as the team’s punter … Also saw limited time as a place kicker … Averaged 35.8 yards on 37 punts … 16 of his punts landed inside the 20, with just two touchbacks … He drew eight fair catches … Spangler had three punts travel more than 50 yards, including a season-long 58 yarder at Charleston … Had another 50-yarder in the playoffs, sending one 56 at Shepherd … Had a 54-yarder against Gannon … Had his best game at Charleston, averaging 46.8 yards per punt, downing all three of his kicks inside the 20-yard line … Attempted a 41-yard field goal at Mercyhurst and kicked off once at Slippery Rock.

2014 (Mercyhurst): Earned second team All-PSAC West honors with the Lakers … Finished third in the PSAC with 40.6 average yards per punt … Had five punts of at least 50 yards and had 16 land inside the opponents’ 20 yard line … Had a season-long 63 yard punt against Bloomsburg on September 20 … Also averaged 56.9 yards on eight kickoffs.

2013 (Mercyhurst): Started all 11 games and served as the Lakers' primary punter as a freshman...averaged 37.4 yards per punt, with a season-long of 55, on 38 attempts during the season...had five punts of at least 50 yards and had nine land inside the opponents' 20-yard line...averaged 37.3 yards on a season-high nine punts at Slippery Rock on September 28...averaged 54.0 yards on two punts in victory at Seton Hill on October 12, including season-long 55-yarder...served as placekicker in season opener at Bentley and went 1-for-1 on field goals (31 yards) and 1-for-2 on extra points.

High School: Was a three-year letterwinner in football and two-year letterwinner in basketball at Bishop McCort High School...earned the Pat Tillman Award as Special Teams Player of the Year in 2012...Tribune Democratic All-Area First Team selection in 2010 and 2012 and Second Team honoree in 2011...Second Team PFN All-State place kicker in 2012, Third Team in 2011, Fourth Team in 2010...most career receptions in school history...Big 33 Top 100 Players to Watch...SAFC Offensive Player recognition in 2011...Ken Lantzy Offensive Player Award at wide receiver and at placekicker...basketball team captain in 2012 and 2013.
