Dan Roan enters his second year as a volunteer assistant coach for the Crimson Hawks in 2021. Roan returned to his alma mater after completing his collegiate playing career in 2018.

Roan has dual roles as an assistant coach, assisting with both the hitters and pitching staff. 

As a student-athlete, Roan pitched two seasons as a reliever for the Crimson Hawks. In 33 total appearances, he logged 37.2 innings pitched while only walking 15 and striking out 27 opposing hitters. He solidified himself as one of IUP's key stoppers during those two seasons.

Roan began his coaching career this summer, as he was an assistant coach fro the Baltimore Clippers of the Maryland Collegiate Baseball League. With the Clippers, Roan worked with both the teams offense and pitching staff. 

A native of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, Roan received his bachelor's degree in 2017 in sports administration and business, while also earning a master's degree in employment and labor relations in 2018, both from IUP.
