Originally attended Mount Union and was on the roster when the Purple Raiders won the 2008 Division III national championship...granted a medical redshirt his sophomore season before transferring to IUP.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Perry Traditional Academy...named to the All-WPIAL team following both his junior and senior seasons...played on Pittsburgh City League championship team in both 2004 and 2005...also participated on the track and field team for three seasons...member of the honor roll.

Personal: Born Jan. 29, 1990...son of John and Gigi Macellaro...majoring in communications media.
