Adam Schmidt enters his sixth season on the Crimson Hawks coaching staff as the defensive tackles coach.

In addtion, Schmidt has been in charge of the team’s strength and conditioning program since 2008.

Schmidt was a four-year letterman at IUP from 2004-07 and started in 18 games at right tackle his junior and senior seasons. He began his career on the defensive line before moving over to the offensive front in 2006.

Schmidt was a four-year starter and played in a total of 32 games at IUP.
