Mitch Snyder enters his fifth year on the IUP staff and third year as the team's defensive assistant and strength & conditioning coach in 2023.

Snyder helps oversee recruiting efforts for the IUP football program as part of his day-to-day duties. Defensively, IUP ranked fourth in the PSAC in rushing yards/game (87.2) and sixth in total defense (291.2) in 2022. 

Snyder was the volunteer strength assistant under former safeties coach Johnny Franco in 2018.
