Tim Cortazzo enters his second season with IUP as the defensive backs coach.

During the 2012 season, Cortazzo was an offensive assistant for a team that averaged 33.6 points per game.

Prior to IUP, he spent the 2012 spring season at Duquesne, working with the wide receiver group for the Dukes and helping to develop players that included Gianni Carter, who was a 2012 first team All-Northeastern Conference player.

Prior to Duquesne, Cortazzo was a three year letterman at the University of Toledo as a wide receiver for the Rockets from 2008-2011. He appeared in 28 games and made six starts. He ended his career with a total of 14 receptions for 142 yards and two touchdowns.

A 2011 graduate of Toledo, Cortazzo earned a bachelor’s degree in business. He is a native of Irwin, PA.
