Brandon Mayhan

Brandon Mayhan was named an assistant men's basketball coach at IUP in late August 2024 and begins his first season with the program in 2024-25.

Mayhan brings with him a wealth of experience from Southeastern University (NAIA) in Lakeland, Fla., where he was on staff for the last three years.

During his tenure at Southeastern, Mayhan played a key role in the team's success, contributing to two seasons with over 20 wins, back-to-back Sun Conference regular season championships, and a tournament title. He coached four All-American selections and seven All-Sun Conference players, focusing on empowering student-athletes to unlock their full potential through basketball.

Mayhan was deeply involved in organizing and executing practices, recruiting talented student-athletes, fostering individual player development, and conducting thorough scouting and film analysis.

Mayhan played four seasons collegiately at Chowan University, where he received the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award and was named to the Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference team. 

He earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership and holds a bachelor of science in exercise science with a coaching minor from Chowan University.
