Christi Mauk

Christi Mauk ('14) enters her second season as the IUP softball assistant coach in 2020. Mauk returned to her alma mater in 2019 after helping the Crimson Hawks to a 15-27-1 overall record and a 10-9 record in the conference.

Mauk helped guide sophomore Renee Wall to a place on the All-PSAC team selection and the PSAC Central Athlete of the Year. Mauk also saw junior Kassie Kesneck and freshman Jenna Rhue earn all-conference honors. 

Mauk played for the Crimson Hawks from 2011-14. She was a part of the Crimson Hawks first PSAC and NCAA Atlantic Region title wins in 2011. The team recorded 11 straight wins before their season ended in the World Series, marking the best season in IUP softball history with a record of 38-8. The following season, IUP won its second consecutive PSAC Softball Championship. This advanced the team to the 2012 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region where they completed their season in the championship game, finishing with a 31-14-1 overall record. The 2013 season ended with a record of 26-15, quieting the Crimson Hawks of any play off run. Mauk completed her final collegiate season in 2014 with a 32-17 record, while advancing to the PSAC tournament and then to NCAA Division II Softball Atlantic Regional for the third time in four years.

Mauk began her caoching career by returning to her alma mater in 2016. She served as a volunteer assistant coach from 2016-17 and became a graduate assistant coach in 2018. 

Mauk graduated from IUP in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in excercise science. In 2019, she earned a second bachelor's degree in nursing. She is a native of Imler, Pa. and a 2010 graduate of Claysburg Kimmel High School.
