Courtney Alexander

Courtney Alexander returned to her alma mater as an assistant coach for the women''s basketball program in December 2022. She enters her second season with the Crimson Hawks in 2023-24.

Joining the IUP coaching staff near the midpoint of the 2022-23 season, she worked with all-conference guard Kiera Baughman. IUP went 18-10 in 2022-23, earning a trip to the PSAC Tournament. Meanwhile, Baughman and guard Maria Cerro emerged to form one of the top all-around backcourt duos in the region.

Alexander is actively involved in multiple day-to-day aspects within the program, including practice planning, recruiting, gameplanning, administrative tasks, camp coordination, among other assignments.

Alexander played at IUP for four seasons from 2016-20 and again in 2021-22, making 100 career appearances as a Crimson hawk. She shot 37% from beyond the arc for her career, including 40.1% in 2019-20.

A nursing major, Alexander broke the program single-game record with nine 3-pointers and scored a career-high 31 points in December 2021 against Shippensburg.
