A definite back bone within the IUP baseball program, Franko Alexander returns for his fourth year overseeing all facets of the team’s strength and conditioning efforts.

Alexander is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). He earned his bachelor’s degree from IUP in exercise science in 2014. He also earned his master’s degree from IUP in 2015, with a concentration in kinesiology health and sports science.

With his passion in training athletes, he spent portions of two years serving as a strength and conditioning specialist for the IUP men’s and women’s basketball programs. Since then, he now solely works with the IUP baseball program.

Currently, he is the owner of Alexander Strength Development in Indiana, Pennsylvania and has trained numerous athletes around the Indiana area, along with many former IUP athletes.

More notably, he had the opportunity to work with former IUP baseball student-athlete Tyler Adams, who was a 27th round draft pick in the 2019 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft. Adams is currently in Clearwater, Florida, where he was to the Phillies Rookie Ball club, the GCL Phillies East.
