Kayla Herron is in her second season as an assistant coach with the IUP men's and women's track and field teams. She began her career with the Crimson Hawks as an intern in 2010, and serves as the throws coach.

Prior to IUP, Herron was an All-American thrower at the University of Tennessee and St. Francis (PA).
