Nick Gerbi

Gerbi is in his first year at IUP as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach while also serving as a graduate assistant in the Department of Sport Management.

Gerbi works directly with the Crimson Hawks' women's soccer, men's and women's track and field, and women's tennis programs while assisting with football and other Olympic sports. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach (USAW-L1) and a Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) specialist.

A 2026 graduate of Michigan State University's Honors College, Gerbi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology with minors in coaching and health promotion.

During his time at Michigan State, Gerbi served as an intern with both the football and Olympic sports strength and conditioning departments before being promoted to head strength and conditioning coach for the men's soccer program during his final year. In that role, he also assisted with wrestling, gymnastics, women's soccer, and track and field.

Gerbi also completed strength and conditioning internships with Indiana football during the summer of 2024 and the University of Illinois Olympic sports department during the summer of 2025.

Throughout his collegiate experience, Gerbi developed expertise with a variety of sports science technologies, including Perch, EliteForm, Catapult, Hawkins Dynamics, VALD, NordBord and other athlete monitoring and performance analysis systems.
