Senior golfer Joshua Bartley has been named an IUP Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the sports information office on Monday, October 23.

Bartley had a celebratory weekend, winning individual medalist honors at the 2017 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Golf Championships while also leading the Crimson Hawks to a team title in Hershey.
 
Bartley finished the weekend with a three-under 139 and became the 15th IUP golfer since 1993 win the individual title at the PSAC Championships. He entered the clubhouse tied for the opening round lead with an even-par 72 on Saturday, breaking the tie with a tournament-best score of five-under 67 on Sunday.
 
Sunday's 67 was Bartley's lowest round of his collegiate career. It helped IUP erase a three-stroke deficit on the team leaderboard after the first round to win its 28th all-time conference championship by five strokes.
 
This is Bartley's first ever IUP weekly honor.
