IUP Takes Early Lead but East Stroudsburg Rallies for PSAC Crossover Win

Anouk Sickman scored IUP's goal vs. the Warriors

Final Stats

IUP took an early lead on a goal by Anouk Sickman (Antwerp, Belgium/Lazac Cellepe) before host East Stroudsburg stormed back with three unanswered tallies for a 3-1 victory over the Crimson Hawks in a PSAC crossover game Saturday.

IUP, playing for the first time in two weeks, dropped to 1-2 on the season. The Warriors, ranked No. 4 in the most recent National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll, remained undefeated in five games.

Sickman scored her first goal of the season off an assist by Keira Huntsman (Elverson/Kimberton Waldorf) just 7:21 into the game. But former Crimson Hawk player Jessica Frantz produced two goals and an assist and Joanna Reckley also scored to help East Stroudsburg pull away.

Lydia Dolly (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield), who returned to the IUP roster this week after not playing last season, started in goal for the Crimson Hawks and made 11 saves. Maureen Ordnung had six saves for the Warriors, who held a 22-11 advantage in shots and 14-6 in penalty corners.

IUP is back in action Monday at Mansfield.
