THE GAME
The Crimson Hawks are facing their final two opponents in a five-game stretch of home matchups Tuesday and Wednesday when they host the Mansfield Mountaineers and the Lock Haven Lady Eagles.  IUP, currently 3-0 in the PSAC, have already defeated conference opponents Seton Hill, Mercyhurst, and Gannon.  In the all-time series, the Crimson Hawks hold a 13-1 record over the Mountaineers and a 44-30 lead over Lock Haven. 

LAST TIME OUT
December 6, IUP defeated (at-the-time No. 25) Gannon 74-51 at the KCAC.  Four Crimson Hawks scored in double figures for the team, including Sr. F Ashley Stoner (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Thomas Jefferson) and S. G Lindsay Stamp (Erie, Pa. /Mercyhurst Prep) who led the team with a combined 36 points.  This victory marked the first time in Coach Tom McConnell's career at IUP that the Crimson Hawks have overcome the Golden Knights.  

SCOUTING MANSFIELD
The Mountaineers come into Tuesday's game 1-6 overall, 0-4 in the PSAC.  As a team, Mansfield has averaged 61.9 points per-game this season.  Offensively they are led by Jr. G Katie Fitzpatrick with 9.7 points per-game, and So. G Tianna Jackson with 9.1.  Defensively, Fitzpatrick has tallied 18 steals in the Mountaineers' seven games, followed by Fr. G Becky Evans with 14 total.  

SCOUTING LOCK HAVEN 
Lock Haven, currently 1-5 overall, 1-2 in the PSAC found it's only win this far in the season Dec. 6 when they overcame Mansfield 54-33.  Three seniors are dominating the court for the Lady Eagles offensively including Sr. G Sami Lane with 12.3 points per-game, Sr. F Marrysa Moyer 10.8 points per-game, and Sr. G Rachael McDaniel adding 10.0 points per-game.  On the defensive end, Lane has grabbed 10 steals in addition to Moyer's 8 blocks.  

WHAT'S NEXT
IUP returns to action Saturday when they travel to Bloomsburg for a 1 p.m tipoff against the Huskies.  The Crimson Hawks will then be off until January 3rd when they go to East Stroudsburg to face the Warriors.

PSAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Last Monday, the PSAC announced Stamp as the PSAC West Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive time.  This honor first came for the senior after she posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds against Shepherd.  To earn this week's title, Stamp posted a team-high 18 points in the team's matchup with Gannon.

NATIONAL ATTENTION
With the help of their 7-0 start, the Crimson Hawks have received votes in a pair of national poles, including a No. 25 ranking in the Division II Media Poll sponsored by D2SIDA.  IUP has also received votes in the USA TODAY Sports Division II Top 25 poll, currently the fourth team back of the 25th ranked school in the nation.  

FROM THE FOUL LINE 
The Crimson Hawks have proved to shoot well from the foul line so far this season.  In the team's seven games, they have sunk 112-153 shots attempted, averaging .732 FT% and 16.0 free throws made per-game.  From the foul line, Stoner leads the team with 27-of-30 shots made and a FT% of .900.  Also recording a high percentage is Sr. G Amy Fairman (Creekside, Pa. /Marion Center) with .923 after making 12-of-13 shots.  

LAST TIME OUT WITH MANSFIELD
Last season IUP defeated Mansfield 78-61.  The team was led by Stamp with 23 points, Stoner with 19 points, and Fairman and Jr. G Marina Wareham (New Wilmington, Pa. /Kennedy Catholic) each with 10.  As a team, the Crimson Hawks shot a .403 FG%.  They recorded 44 total rebounds, 15 assists and 9 steals.  

LAST TIME OUT WITH LOCK HAVEN
In the 2013-14 season, the Crimson Hawks defeated the Lady Eagles 77-66.  The team recorded a .456 FG% and from the three-point line IUP shot 6-for-11.  Stamp tallied 25 points, with Stoner putting up 18 points of her own.  The Crimson Hawks stole 36 rebounds, with 26 of them coming from the defense.  

PSAC LEADER BOARDS
Currently in the PSAC, IUP is third in scoring with 78.7 points per-game.   The team's perfect 7-0 record has put them in the number one spot for scoring defense.  In addition to the team's high statistics, four players have clinched spots in the top five on a few different leader boards.  Stamp holds first place in scoring with 155 points this season, and 22.1 per-game.  Stamp is sitting in the number two spot in three-point field goals made, as well as her three-point percentage with 3.1 three-pointers per-game and a percentage of .500.  

Stoner is at the top of the conference in field goal percentage with 40-of-66 made for .606 FG%.  Sr. G Marita Mathe (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) holds fifth place in assists with an average of 4.9 per-game and 34 overall.  In steals, Fairman is second with 24 in just seven games.  

STEALING THE SHOW
Fairman opens the 2014-15 season with 24 total steals in just seven games.  She currently leads the team in steals with 3.4-per-game, and 233 over her four seasons with the Crimson Hawks.  As a team, IUP has grabbed 58 steals compared to their opponents total 35.  The Crimson Hawks average 8.3 steals per-game.  

MATHE WITH THE ASSIST
Thus far this season, IUP has recorded 132 total assists in opposed to their opponents mere 77.  The team averages 18.9 assists per-game, led by Mathe.  This senior has tallied 34 total assists with 4.9 per-game.  Behind Mathe is Sr. G Leslie Stapleton (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) with an average of 3.3 assists per-game. 

IUP RECORD BOOKS
Currently, all five Crimson Hawks starters - Stoner, Stamp, Mathe, Stapleton and Fairman - hold spots in the IUP record books.  At the top of the list in their respective categories are Stoner and Stapleton.  Stoner is first with a free throw percentage of .823, meanwhile Stapleton's .405 three-point field goal percentage has placed her at the top of the 3FG% category.

Also finding their place with 3FG% is Stamp, 3rd place with .387 3FG%, Mathe, .364 3FG% in 4th place, and Fairman, 7th place with .353 3FG%.

 In steals, Fairman is sitting in 8th place with a total 209 over her four season at IUP.  Mathe, Stapleton, Stamp and Fairman all hold placements for three-point field goals made starting with Mathe at 4th, Stapleton in 8th, Stamp in 9th and Fairman in 12th.
