EAST STROUDSBURG, PA - Lindsay Stamp (Erie, Pa. /Mercyhurst Prep) posted 27 points in her 29 minutes on the court to help the Crimson Hawks cruise to an 84-59 victory over the Warriors, Saturday in East Stroudsburg in IUP's first game of 2015.  This high-scoring game marked Stamp's 10th 20-point game this season, and came one point shy of her season-high 28 points, which she earned in November against Ohio Valley.

The first four minutes of play proved to be a battle between the Warriors and the Crimson Hawks, with the lead bouncing back-and-forth between the two teams.  With 16:28 on the clock, Stamp shot and scored a layup from the paint, giving IUP a 10-7 lead.  From there, the Crimson Hawks began to pull away, and held the lead for the remainder of the matchup.  Stamp led the team throughout the first half with 19 total points, and five rebounds.  Ashley Stoner (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Thomas Jefferson) also recorded 8 points in the first 20 minutes with the help of her 4-for-4 performance from the foul line.

At the half, IUP held a 44-26 lead over East Stroudsburg, marking the 10th time this season the Crimson Hawks were victorious after being the halftime leader.  The second half proved to be a breeze for IUP while they held the Warriors off by at least 20 points through the remaining 20 minutes of play.

The heavy lead allowed eight Crimson Hawks' - Marina Wareham (New Wilmington, Pa. /Kennedy Catholic), Lisa Burton (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Penn Hills), Zhane Brooks (Erie, Pa. /Villa Maria), Megan Smith (Blain, Pa./West Perry), Monica Burns (New Stanton, Pa. /Hempfield ), Alexis Aiken (Pittsburgh, Pa. /North Allegheny), Amy Graham (Zanesville, Ohio/West Muskingum) and Halle Denman (Beaver Falls, Pa. /Blackhawk) - to see action off the bench.

Stoner finished the day 6-of-6 from the foul line, and tallied 16 total points for IUP.  Currently in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, Stoner sits in 4th place with a FT% of 84.6.  As a whole, the Crimson Hawks hold 2nd place in the conference for an overall FT% of 73.7.

Amy Fairman (Creekside, Pa. /Marion Center) played strong defensively and grabbed three steals for the Crimson Hawks.  Fairman is ranked 17th in Division II with 3.2 steals per-game, 2nd in the PSAC.  In addition, Stamp and Wareham also recorded one steal each.

As a team, IUP scored 29-of-54 for a 53.7 FG%.  From behind the arc, the Crimson Hawks sunk 7-of-17.  Defenisvely, the team tallied 21 rebounds, seven steals and three blocks.

This win improved IUP's record to 11-0, 7-0 in the PSAC.  In the most recent USA TODAY Division II Top 25 Poll, the Crimson Hawks are ranked 25th, tied with Harding Univesity (Ark.).  In the Division II Media Poll Sponosred by D2SIDA, IUP is sitting at No. 11 in the nation, and tied for 1st in the Atlantic Region.
