Women's Volleyball Blanks Concord in Erie



UPDATE: The Crimson Hawks defeated Concord by scores of 25-14, 25-15 and 25-16 on Friday night. Sophomore Natalie Cignetti (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) had a match-high 14 kills in 29 attemps, her third straight contest of double-digit kills. She also added four service aces and seven digs. Fellow sophomore Alexis Anderson (Cleveland, Ohio/Mayfield) had 10 kills and three aces while Gabrielle Egler (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Obama Academy) added eight kills in 13 attempts.

IUP will play Notre Dame (Ohio) at noon today followed by West Virginia State at 2 p.m.
 
 
ERIE, Pa. - The IUP women's volleyball team defeated Concord 3-0 as the two teams competed in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) / Mountain East Conference (MEC) Crossover at Mercyhurst University in Erie on Friday night. 

Full box scores from Friday's match were not available at the time of publishing. 

With the victory, the Crimson Hawks improve to 5-2 overall on the year while Concord drops to 1-10. IUP will return to action on Saturday, facing Notre Dame (Ohio) and West Virginia State.
