INDIANA, Pa. – Five IUP players scored in double-figures, with the 24th-ranked Crimson Hawks shooting 49 percent from the floor, as they defeated visiting Urbana 91-74 on Saturday night at the Kovalchick Complex.

Jacobo Diaz (Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain/CBA Gran Canaria) posted a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, which were just some of the highlights.
The win was the second of the weekend for the Crimson Hawks, who improved to 2-0 after the season-opening S&T Bank Atlantic Region Challenge. IUP defeated Lincoln on Friday night, while Pitt-Johnstown also participated this weekend.
Also reaching double-figures in scoring were sophomore guard
Dante Lombardi (Indiana, Pa./The Kiski School) with 14 points, senior guard
Brandon Spain (Baltimore, Md./Glen Burnie) with 13 points, and freshman guard
Malik Miller (Farrell, Pa./Farrell) with 11 points.
Danielak, Spain and Miller were sparks off the bench, shooting a combined 15-of-24 while totaling six three-pointers.
Lombardi grabbed four rebounds and dished out four assists, while committing zero turnovers in his 30 minutes of action. Diaz finished 8-of-9 from the foul line, with four of his 13 boards coming on the offensive end.
The Crimson Hawks shot 50.0 percent in the first half, but led by just six at 41-35 heading to the locker room. IUP took advantage of 18 second half fouls by Urbana to shoot 20-of-26 from the charity stripe in the final 20 minutes. The Crimson Hawks turned the ball over just 10 times on the night.
It's a quick turnaround for the Crimson Hawks, who will host Bowie State on Tuesday night at the Kovalchick Complex. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m.
