INDIANA, Pa. – The Crimson Hawks men's and women's swimming teams wrapped up their dual meet schedule on Saturday against Bloomsburg as the IUP men dropped a 238-112 decision while the women fell 209-138 at the Pidgeon Memorial Invitational.
Junior
Sterling Tate (York, PA/Dallastown) won the 200 freestyle in a PSAC time of 1:45.27. Sophomore
Noah Brockway (York, PA/Dallastown) took home second place honors in the men's 100 backstroke with a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying time of 53.34. He then teamed with
Shane Hallett (Boiling Springs, Pa. /Boiling Springs),
Colter Long (Hollidaysburg, Pa. /Hollidaysburg Area) and
RJ Hammond (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) to place second in the 200-medley relay. The quartet finished with a time of 137.30.
On the women's side won the 400 IM in a conference qualifying time of 4:43.44. Also posting wins were junior
Sara Bertram (Alexandria, Va. /West Potomac) in the 100 fly (59.15), sophomore
Nicole Smith (Dover, PA/Dover) in the 200 free (1:55.95) and sophomore
Regan Chalk (Hanover, PA/New Oxford) in the 100 back (1:00.62).
