Stokes, Uhlig Lead IUP Swimming in CSCAA Academic Honors

INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP men's and women's swimming and diving teams were recognized for their excellence in the classroom this week as the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its Scholar All-America Teams and Individual Scholar All-Americans.

Both Crimson Hawks programs earned Scholar All-America Team recognition after posting team grade-point averages above 3.0 during the spring semester. IUP was among 714 teams from 418 institutions across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA divisions to receive the honor.

The IUP women's team, which finished as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference runner-up during the 2025-26 season, recorded a 3.34 team GPA. The squad was led academically by junior Kasha Stokes, who earned Individual Scholar All-America honors after meeting the CSCAA's academic and competitive standards. Stokes also capped off a standout season by earning two All-America honors at the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships.

The Crimson Hawks men's team posted a 3.25 team GPA to earn Scholar All-America Team recognition. Junior Tyler Uhlig represented the program as an Individual Scholar All-American after recording a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 while achieving an NCAA Division II "B" qualifying standard.

In all, 2,230 swimmers and divers across the country earned Individual Scholar All-America recognition from the CSCAA.

The annual CSCAA Scholar All-America awards recognize programs and student-athletes who have demonstrated excellence both in competition and in the classroom, highlighting the balance between academic achievement and athletic success.
