York, Pennsylvania — The Indiana University of Pennsylvania swim team continued its dominant showing at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships on Friday, capturing three additional conference titles on day three of competition.
Gem Crittenden secured her third individual crown of the meet, touching first in the 200 butterfly to further cement her standout performance at the conference championships. Kasha Stokes earned her first individual title of the meet, winning the 100 backstroke.
Crittenden and Stokes then teamed with Tina Cudina and Taylor Peoples to claim IUP's second relay title of the meet in the 200 medley relay, adding more valuable points to the team total.
Overall, the Crimson Hawks recorded 11 top-eight finishes on Friday, including eight from the women's squad and three from the men's team.
On the men's side, Alexander Roth and Tyler Uhlig delivered strong performances in the 100 backstroke, finishing eighth and sixth, respectively.
With momentum continuing to build, IUP heads into the final day of competition Saturday. Session one is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. as the Crimson Hawks look to close out the championships on a high note.
