WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Senior guard
Anthony Glover, Jr. (Toledo, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit) scored a career-high 25 points to lead four scorers in double-figures, but it wasn't enough as the Crimson Hawks fell to West Chester 93-78 on Saturday afternoon at Hollinger Field House.
Glover finished 10-of-17 from the field, including 4-of-8 from 3-point range, in 33 minutes of work. It was the first loss for IUP in three weeks, ending the Crimson Hawks' four-game winning streak as they fell to 5-4 overall and 2-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
The difference came at the foul line, where West Chester made 24-of-26 while IUP was 9-of-18.
Also scoring in double-figures was graduate forward
Blake Danielak (Georgetown, Tex./Liberty Hill) and junior guard
Dante Lombardi (Indiana, Pa./The Kiski School) with 12 points, and sophomore guard
Malik Miller (Farrell, Pa./Farrell) with 10 points.
